Kalyra Kids

Kalyra Kids

Kalyra Kids Playgroup runs every Wednesday from 10 am to 11.30 am from our residential aged care at 2 Kalyra Road, Belair.

Session entry is by gold coin donation (please bring a drink and snack). The playgroup has a combination of structured and free play, stories and song time.

Kalyra Kids is one of just 15 intergenerational groups affiliated with Playgroup SA with only 5% of aged care homes offering similar programs across the State.

Intergenerational programs

At Kalyra Communities, we have a number of programs in place that foster interaction between generations. We celebrate the great benefit that both residents and children receive from engaging in play activities and sharing knowledge.

Intergenerational programs include weekly playgroups and school visits with children from the very young through to those attending high school.

Aged care residents at Belair, McLaren Vale and Woodcroft all look forward to their regular discussions with the school children and the students often report on the amazing stories and wisdom that are shared by residents around the veggie patch.
