Stay Independent, Stay Safe
As a service provider registered with Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), Kalyra offers a range of support services that help you to live independently and safely at home. The program provides government funding towards services which enhance your abilities to retain your independence for longer.
Who Is CHSP For?
CHSP is generally for people who:
- Are aged 65 or over (50 or over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people)
- Are mostly independent but need a little extra help with one or two everyday tasks
- Have been assessed as eligible by My Aged Care
If your needs are more complex or ongoing, a Support at Home Package may be a better fit – our team can help you work out which applies to you.
The CHSP is designed to be an entry level support service for older people who need some additional help to stay at home and is best suited for people who just need one or two services.
What CHSP Services Are Available?
Kalyra’s CHSP services are grouped around what you actually need help with:
- Domestic assistance: cleaning, laundry and help around the home
- Personal care: showering, dressing and daily hygiene support
- Nursing care: medication support, wound care and health monitoring
- Allied health: physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy and more
- Transport and social support: getting to appointments and staying connected
- Home maintenance and modifications: safety checks, repairs and small changes
- Meals: help with meal preparation where needed
- Respite care: short breaks for family carers
Need something that isn’t listed? The Kalyra Choice Program can top up your CHSP services with additional fee-per-service support.

What You’ll Pay for CHSP Services in South Australia?
CHSP is subsidised by the Australian Government, so you’ll only be asked for a small contribution towards the cost of your services, based on what you can afford.
- Pay as you go: You only pay a contribution for the services you actually receive.
- No hidden surprises: Our team will discuss expected costs with you before any services start.
- Financial protection: No one is denied essential services due to genuine financial hardship.
