A great outcome for Belair retirement village
On 21 July 2023 Barryne Retirement Village in Belair officially transitioned from Helping Hand to become part of the Kalyra retirement living portfolio. Kalyra knows wellbeing and longevity is fostered through communities of belonging and warmly welcomes Barryne Village into the broader Kalyra community.
Helping Hand Chief Executive Officer Chris Stewart said, “As people age, we recognise they may need more care and support in their own home, delivered by locally based community service providers. Kalyra is a well-known and highly regarded provider of aged care services in the Belair community. We are therefore delighted that Barryne Retirement Village will now transition to Kalyra as this is a great outcome for the residents.”
Sara Blunt, Chief Executive Officer of Kalyra added; “We have been working closely with Helping Hand throughout this process and it’s clear that we have a lot of shared values. We’re both not-for profit organisations with clear goals on being able to support South Australians to live their best lives as they age.”
The team at Kalyra has commenced the process of welcoming Barryne residents with initial information sessions already taking place. These will be followed up during August as we continue to build relationships with our new residents, and we look forward to supporting them continue to enjoy village living to the fullest.
